This book is provided by the Offensive Security
and is like the user manual of Kali Linux. Kali Linux Revealed provides a
detailed overview on Kali Linux. Why it becomes so important to read this book
is that it covers all the basics of the
Kali Linux such as directory structure (consider it as the my
computer in Windows), User groups, Debian Management (consider it
like telling you how to install applications or softwares in Microsoft
Windows), Basic commands (such as opening, creating, deleting and navigating
files and folders in Kali Linux).
The first section of Kali Linux Revealed book will clear all
your doubts about What is Kali Linux,
Why and Who use Kali Linux, Features of Kali, Policy of Kali OS.
The second section talks about getting hooked up with Kali
Linux. It tells you different methods on howto Download and Install Kali Linux, Starting/Booting
Up Kali Linux.
The Third section deals with the Linux Fundamentals, As Kali OS is based on Linux so users
must know how to operate Kali Linux
with the help of commands because Linux Distributions are based on
command Line interface (except a few including Ubuntu OS Distro’s). This
section also talks about the Linux
File system as well which is the most important section in this chapter
along with basic linux commands.
The next chapter in the Kali Linux Revealed book talks about installing basic components and configuring basic things.
Heading up is the most
important topic in the whole book, Configuring
Kali Linux. Actually what you find in this chapter is just like the Top
10 or 5 things to do after installing Kali Linux in your computer. You may also

The next few
chapters are not important in my view for a beginner because it deals
with reporting bugs and vulnerabilities in Kali Linux OS.
After this comes the chapter on Debian Package management, a bit scary chapter which need a
two time’s careful reading to be understood properly.
The eleventh chapter
is also a bit informative which tells you about the types of attacks
which you will learn i9n your future while using Kali Linux and also the authors of the book conclude hereafter
with wishing the reader with a happy journey in the field of Ethical Hacking
ahead.

My views on
this books is that, if you are just a beginner in the field of ethical hacking,
you must read this book before
starting anything. Kali Linux Book is designed and presented in such a
manner that it makes itself more important for being read. This book should be
the first priority in terms of books
